Who We Are

National Initiatives Development Organization (NIDO) is a non-governmental and non-benefit organization working in South, & East Darfur states since 2014 in the field of primary Health care, Education, Capacity building, Food security, Peace Building & livelihood, WASH, Child &Women empowerment and Human rights.

How We Work

National Initiative Development Organization NIDO is registered with HAC it has full capacity and recent experiences in efficiently delivering humanitarian aid services to the target beneficiaries, NIDO is operating clinics since 2014 which was funded by WHO ( Shikh Musa Clinic in Dereige IDPs camp) , as well as Al Seref IDPs Camp clininc in response to the influx of IDPs.

NIDO over – arching strategy is promoting DEVELOPMENT and social inclusion. NIDO supports national poverty reduction and other Millennium Development Goals (MDG) efforts with a focus on recovery, reintegration, and reconciliation

NIDO is currently implementing Nutrition services for Under 5 children and P/LW in East and South Darfur

NIDO implemented WASH program Support by UNICEF in East Darfur

Peace Building and Development

Peace Building and Development

NIDO implemented paediatric, women wards, 1 office, 2 halls, 2 toilets and 1 bath room in Ed Alfersan Hospital in 2016. Supported by UNAMID.

Food Security and livelihood

During 2015 NIDO has entered into partnership agreements with WFP in East & South Darfur.
