SAFE PROJECT (FFW&FFT)

NIDO implemented SAFE projects in south and east Darfur which was funded by WFP in 2015.The projects covered 4 localities in South and East Darfur with componentof women IGA trainings and vocational training for youth, serving 17,450 beneficiaries.

COMMUNITY BASE ACTIVITIES,Community Outreach service

In Alsalam locality, NIDO in partnership with ARC INGO is providing community outreach services that including sessions and health messages, TFC and PLW tracing defaulters, awareness among the community especially during the public campaigns (EPI) and epidemics.

COMMUNITY BASE ACTIVITIES ,Integrated Health and Nutrition Project

NIDO is currently implementing community outreach services which facilitating the way of finding the nutrition defaulters, conducting sessions and health messages and encouraging the P/LW to come to the centers for further follow up. This program has been running since 2016 up to date and it is supported by IMC INGO in deferent camps (Kalm, Alsalam and Alsereef).

Construction Project

NIDO implemented paediatric, women wards, 1 office, 2 halls, 2 toilets and 1 bath room in Ed Alfersan Hospital in 2016. Supported by UNAMID. NIDO implemented DCPSF project sup-grant under Alight and funded from UNDP in East Darfur state.

Community Response Training

NIDO implemented community training funded by World Vision INGO on health services focusing on nutrition that in order to promote their attitude and behaviour change such as (breastfeeding, complementary feeding, control of Vitamin A deficiency, sick child feeding etc…) conducted training in different localities ( Marshing, Otash  and Diriege camp.

Nutrition program

NIDO is currently implementing Nutrition services for Under 5 children and P/LW in East and South Darfur, funded by UNICEF and WFP for Children under five and pregnant and lactating women in 18 nutrition centres. The services include (OTP, TSFP, and FPMAM) and it is ongoing program. This program has been running since 2015 up to date .

was supported NIDO to provide integrated health and nutrition service in Kario south Sudanese refugees,  East Darfur State

MSF- CH , the project of : provision of primary and secondary health care in Kario south Sudanese refugees ,  East Darfur State

Carryout daily active case finding among children under five and PLW using MWAC screening among SSR and host community in Kario. Number of male and female reached with Covid-19 messaging on prevention and access to the services through CNVs among SSR. Increasing the number of mothers/ care givers accessing Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), counselling including those with SAM children among SSR, through CNVs and facilities.
